PHOTOGRAPHY TOUR TO PANAMA - 13 DAYS/12 NIGHTS

See amazing Panama with photographers Øyvind Martinsen and Zizza Gordon. Explore the rainforest, waters, rivers and the breathtaking scenery. Panama is home to 960 different kinds of birds, 220 mammals, 175 amphibious species, 240 reptiles, a plethora of beautiful butterflies and an incredible plant life with more than 10,000 species! You are guided through the vast biodiversity as we allow ample opportunity for photography.

First off, is a boat trip with a chartered boat on The Chagres River and Gatun Lake. One day is set aside to visit the Embera Indians who carry on their ancient way of life in the rainforest. For the first part of the trip, we will stay at a small hotel outside of Soberania National Park. During the second part of the trip, we stay in a rustic lodge at Burbayar, located at the heart of the rainforest in the Serrania de San Blas mountain range. We explore and photograph the beautiful and mysterious rainforest.
We will explore the highlands in Altos de Campana national park during the third part of the trip and stay at a hotel with an amazing view. Then, we travel further west to photograph the Sarigua desert, Pacific Coast, waterfalls, and the remarkable wetlands.

Depending on your level, we offer photography lectures during the trip and at the lodges/hotels at night. We go with the sun, from sunrise to sundown, which is normally from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Each morning will comprise of a long photo session. Afterwards, you enjoy a delicious lunch and can rest at the hotel or lodge before the afternoon photo session. We will have dinner together in the evenings. There, Øyvind and Zizza will share stories from their trips in Panama, provide photography lectures and tell you more about Panama in general.

There is a maximum group size of 4 participants. The number of participants is restricted to provide ideal conditions for photography. This is a rare opportunity to go on a tour in a small group that is catered towards photography. We need minimum 2 persons per trip to run the tour.

PRICE: 4850 USD
Included: Accommodations, transportation, food and refreshments (3 meals a day), national park fees, guiding and lectures.
In the beginning of the trip we will meet you at the airport, and in the end of the trip we will drop you off at your preferred hotel in Panama City.
Not included: International airfare, alcoholic drinks. All participants must have travel insurance.

I have been on the most extraordinary photosafari of my life!
The operator, m-art.no, with the the owners Øyvind Martinsen and
Zizza Gordon, have taken me on a trip around Panama that I had
not thought possible! They are both professional photographers,
and are very willing to share their knowledge with me, a professional
amateur. The tour, starting in Panama, has been really well planned
and organized. The hotels/lodges have all been top quality, but not of
the five-star sort, i.e. not stuffy. The trip is basically a photographers
dream, Panama beeing such an exotic location for most tourists.

I have been shown most of the country, in particular the canal-region
and the rain-forests. Everything has been arranged without hitches,
and the tour itself has been a pleasure every day. Excurtions into rain-
forests, deserts and mangrove-forests have been very informative and
a joy to participate. On those trips, we have had guides with great
knowledge and experience to show us the attractions of that area.

I can highly recommend the trip to anyone interested in ecology and fauna.
In addition, the possibility of learning more about the art of photography
is an extra bonus!
